The 100th birthday of Dame Vera was celebrated with a massive projection across the White Cliffs of Dover by the One Show and presenter Dan Snow along with a spitfire fly.

Dame Vera Lynn visited conflict zones to lift troop morale during the Second World War, earning the title “The Forces’ Sweetheart” due to her music’s popularity with the British armed forces fighting across the world.

To celebrate the UK-India Year of Culture the national bird of India was projected over the facade of Buckingham Palace whilst the Queen, Head of the Commonwealth hosted a special reception  attended by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

As the guests from the world of sport, fashion, show business and the arts arrived and drove through the gates of the palace they were greeted with the large projection shining across the palace.

The artwork was commissioned by the British Council and the Indian High Commission, with the peacock being the national bird of India it looked magnificent
The 2017 UK-India Year of Culture will celebrate the deep cultural ties of the two countries, and the reception at Buckingham Palace will begin the start of a year-long programme of events and exhibitions which will take place in both countries. These events are being organised by the British Council, together with the Indian High Commission in London, UK institutions and their Indian counterparts, with the aim to connect and inspire people to celebrate the long-standing relationship and vibrant cultural history.

David Haye’s was projected in an image of him knocking out Tony Bellew on the side of a hotel in Liverpool as their fight build-up intensified on Merseyside.

The image was projected onto the Liverpool hotel that is the venue for the pre-fight press conference, where Haye said Bellew would be ‘risking his life’ by entering the ring with him.

The 36-year-old has once again teamed up with artist Endless ahead of the bout with Bellew, at the O2 Arena, who reproduced the iconic image of Muhammad Ali versus Sonny Liston, with Haye knocking Bellew to the canvas.

Images for Veterans Foundation were projected onto the White Cliffs of Dover to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.

The words ‘Lest We Forget’ and ‘Battle of the Somme’ were among images shone on to the cliffs in Kent overlooking the English Channel. As well as marking the Somme’s 100th anniversary, organisers of the Veteran Foundation are launching a scheme to support Armed Forces veterans.

A gigantic image of popstar Paloma Faith was projected onto the Royal Liver Building .The image of Paloma was made up of over 1,000 images of people who have helped to make the charity what it is today.

The projection was sponsored by The Prince’s Trust to celebrate its 40-year history.

Portrait artist Nathan Wyburn created a unique picture of Prince’s Trust Ambassador Paloma Faith, who received a grant from the charity as a teenager.

featured on the projection was Callum Clements, 16, who was supported by The Prince’s Trust through its xl initiative, which builds the confidence and motivation of young people struggling at school.
