Iron Bridge all lit up for heritage festival
Shropshire’s world-famous Iron Bridge will be lit up tomorrow night as part of celebrations to mark Ironbridge Gorge’s status as a World Heritage Site.
Getting ready for Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Festival are Kuldip Sahota, leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, and festival organiser Barbara Taylor
It will be bathed in colour as fireworks go off to mark the end of the first day of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Festival, which begins in the town at midday.
The Wharfage will be transformed into a market selling unusual and locally made crafts and food.
The Ironbridge Catering Company will bring an enormous mobile barbecue and serve meats from Buttercoss Farm, in Market Drayton.
Another stallholder will be Beeford Bee Products, together with Shropshire charities and street performers.
People can also take a river cruise on board The Hafren pleasure boat.
